Yesterday and today was a celebration among Muslims: 3id el AD7A
This is equivalent to the feast of Easter for Christians. Both communities also called "The Great Day". Even if the idea was developed differently, the source of the story is common and goes back to Abraham sacrificed a ram, sheep become, paschal lamb ... Briefly:
Happy Birthday to all Muslims!
In Lebanon, as there are many communities, we have many holidays.
Celebrations closer communities. It is inviting: a breakfast of Ramadan here, a Christmas dinner there ... and we learn more about each other and we find common ground.
For small, it's great because it receives gifts and especially ... we're not going to school!
When was small, I remember that every opportunity to not go to school was a source of joy. There were three:
- official holidays (religious festivals, celebrations, independence day, ...)
- calls for a general strike (it could happen at any time in the evening to the next day at the initiative of any militia. So to avoid hurting anyone, the director of our school said that there was no way) and
- the ... battles. was also a source of joy for children as long as it was far!
It was really unconscious! But perhaps it was better that way ...
